Discovery Bay & Mui Wo 28 Feb 2021 - real hiking for nothing

I have absolutely no idea why I chose to hike for non-photoable Brown Bush Warbler in Discovery Bay, even worse I don't know why I returned to Mui Wo and only 3 Mugimaki Flycatcher and Hartert's Leaf Warbler were seen.....

Mount Davis 23 Feb 2021 - birding before and after work

Birding before and after work resulted three responsive species - Hume's Warbler, Ashy Minivet and Ryukyu Minivet, the latter is a first official record in HK in this influx year, a HK tick but not my lifer.

Hume's Warbler - a molting bird in spring, once again I noticed by call & song first

Chai Wan 20 Feb 2021 - Black-naped Monarch

Continuing the birdless 2021 so didn't go far for birding, just birded in backyard or stayed home. Black-naped Monarch was the only highlight I saw in the whole weekend.

We finally visited the 'famous' Indochinese Green Magpie after several weeks, a non-lifer, and an escaped / introduced species which cannot count as a HK tick (yet).
