Chai Wan & Lung Fu Shan 26 Jan 2021 - another verditer trial

A visit to the Verditer Flycatcher stakeout again before work. I brought the 100-400 with 1.4x, not the best photos but improved than last time.

Visiting Lung Fu Shan after work, no palm civet or other interesting mammals, just a Collared Scops Owl and 2 boars were seen.

Tai Po Kau & Bride's Pool 24 Jan 2021 - another birdless Sunday

Expectedly birdless in Tai Po Kau, only a pale juvenile Oriental Honey Buzzard worth mentioning.

Then a sudden visit to Bride's Pool seems better, with Hartert's Leaf Warbler, Mugimaki Flycatcher and Chestnut-flanked White-eye.

Chai Wan 23 Jan 2021 - Verditer Flycatcher

A lazy day, didn't go far so I hoped to get better photos of Verditer Flycatcher which is fed but still difficult to get a satisfied shot.

Kowloon Peak, Sai Ying Pun & Chai Wan 17 Jan 2021 - birdlesssssssss

Rather birdless half day, no Grassbird again in Kowloon Peak, just a skulking Brown Bush (Grasshopper) Warbler.

Before lunch, a quick search for Asian Palm Civet without success, watched some common garden birds.

Then exploring new patch in backyard also poor, Black-throated Laughingthrush was the only friendly species.

Brown Bush Warbler - or better called Brown Grasshopper Warbler. Rather plain and indistinct supercilium.

Brown Grasshopper Warbler - skulking and hard to get a decent shot. The plain (unpattern) vent / undertail coverts is another good feature. Also ID by call / subsong.

Long Valley 16 Jan 2021 - birding without birds

I bet the Ruddy Shelduck was another half-day bird so we didn't try Mai Po and we won. A quick visit to Long Valley before it turns to another damn wetland park but nothing were seen.
