San Tin and Mai Po 1 May 2021 - banana May

Again an early morning visit in San Tin and Mai Po resulted nothing. Took some marsh terns before head back to home for Nogizaka.

An unIDable Cuculus in Mai Po should be likely an Oriental Cuckoo.

Highlight of the day? I rescued an immature Asian Barred Owlet which dropped into water and mobbed by many other passerines.

Tsim Bei Tsui, Long Valley and Lam Tsuen 25 Apr 2021 - birdless is normal

Went three places a day, remember, no bird or no photoable bird is very normal in HK.

Tsim Bei Tsui, just unphotoable and poorly seen Styan's Grasshopper Warbler.

Lam Tsuen: lifeless, not a shutter.

Long Valley: distant Plaintive Cuckoo and close but dull Red-necked Phalarope.
