Tap Mun 17 Jul 2021 - Brown Noddy

A morning visit to the unphotoable immature Brown Noddy is likely my only post in July.

I am the god of rain....

Tai Lam 27 Jun 2021 - finally birding

Wasted a morning to get crappy photos of Lesser Cuckoo in Tai Lam, typical case in HK birddom (nothing photoable).

My only birding day in this Jun 2021: https://ebird.org/checklist/S90848603

Kowloon Peak and Sai Kung 23 May 2021 - birds while not birding

Always birdless in where I live, not to mention it is late May now. Hodgson's Hawk Cuckoo is the best of the day.

Lesser Coucal - never photoable in HK

Chai Wan 15 May 2021 - walk before dinner

0 migrant as expected.

The two baby Crested Goshawk should fledge very soon, haven't visited them for long, too lazy.

8 May 2021 - Global Big Day 2021

Little bit lazy to bird in a birdless hell here, even in Global Big Day.

Yellow-crested Cockatoo may be the best species in my list with Team Rockjumper?

Isaki after the Global Big Day

Firefly Squid - my favorite

No bird then drink

San Tin and Mai Po 1 May 2021 - banana May

Again an early morning visit in San Tin and Mai Po resulted nothing. Took some marsh terns before head back to home for Nogizaka.

An unIDable Cuculus in Mai Po should be likely an Oriental Cuckoo.

Highlight of the day? I rescued an immature Asian Barred Owlet which dropped into water and mobbed by many other passerines.

Too lifeless, no full checklist.

Asian Barred Owlet - as it was found near the WWF office so I just passed to the staff there for caring. Stay strong little bird.
