Tai Mo Shan 16 Jun 2019 - another trial for Lesser Cuckoo

We went to Tai Mo Shan today mainly for the Lesser Cuckoo, which is in theory a breeder here. Not a good morning as we met a irresponsible Taxi driver, that strength my will for legalizing Uber in HK more.

Anyway, go back to birds, which was essentially nothing today due to the windy weather. Some Brownish-flanked Bush Warbler were seen, many more heard, a displaying Richard’s Pipit, a Eurasian Hobby flew by and a cuculus species flew to me when I playing the Lesser Cuckoo call.

Like the Hodgson’s case, still not a safe tick for me but still, better than none.

Red-billed Blue Magpie

Chinese Hwamei

presumed Lesser Cuckoo - responded to call, the underpart patterns and dark iris
