We went to Mount Davis, mainly because of the ‘tame’ Russet Bush (Grasshopper) Warbler [it is a Locustella!], a species we have never seen it well, especially we were too lazy to visit Tai Mo Shan in spring and summer. However, today’s Russet was far less responsive than yesterday... We managed to get some acceptable views only, still better than before anyway.
Plenty Asian Stubtail, a single female Manchurian Bush Warbler and a Black-faced Bunting were the remaining noticable migrants. A Raddes’s Warbler too but the view was really bad.
Spent my time in Chai Wan in late afternoon, a really short walk behind my home. We haven’t been here since the typhoon, luckily the birdbird’s tree still stands.
first happy Gingerbread coffee this season: Bad day but a good morning!
