Yuen Long Park, Pak Tam Chung and Cheung Chau 21 Dec 2019 - birds and alcohol

A day we visited many places but not many species, the first spot we went is Yuen Long Park, mainly for good photos of White's Thrush, which I could take record shots only again. Other migrants in the park include Grey-backed, Japanese Thrush, Chinese Blackbird, Ashy Drongo and Chinese Grosbeak.

We the headed to Tai Sang Wai to see any surprise, where we could see Eurasian Spoonbill and Red-rumped Swallow only.......

Collared Crow

Then a quick stop to Mai Po access road for good photos of Great Crested Grebe but the bird was far and lighting was wrong. Anyway we still had a great lunch in San Tin.

After lunch, I went to meet my friends from mainland in Pak Tam Chung, where they targeted the White-bellied Sea Eagle (I didn't look for) and friendly Japanese Night Heron (a great twitch!).

Our day did not stop here and after unexpected traffic jam, we finally arrived Cheung Chau and quickly found the Brown Fish Owl pair, together with some Black-crowned Night Heron.
