Tai Po Kau and Wo Hop Shek 10 Oct 2020 - Pale-footed Bush Warbler

Thanks to Dave , we were lucky to twitch the HK-tick Pale-footed Bush Warbler, after banana in Tai Po Kau (and we were unlucky that we both did not have car...).

Back to the banana forest in TPK, no luck for the Japanese Paradise Flycatcher or anything worth mentioning, just lots of Eastern Crowned Warbler but none was cooperative.

For the Bush Warbler, spent three hours still could not get any good photos, unlike the one we saw in Guangxi.

Wo Hop Shek (not a full list, nothing else special): https://ebird.org/checklist/S74629270

Fire-breasted Flowerpecker - male

Fire-breasted Flowerpecker

Eastern Crowned Warbler - for many years I still cannot get a decent shot

Huet’s Fulvetta - common but a China endemic

butterfly

first look of the Pale-footed Bush Warbler - much worse than what we saw in Guangxi even this individual was slightly responsive. The long tail (for a bush warbler) and pink leg are good enough for ID

Pale-footed Bush Warbler - singing sometimes
