Kowloon Peak 13 May 2018 - birdlistening day

Today was Mother’s day, we went to hike before celebrating. We chose Kowloon Peak beacuse this is also a good spot for Chinese Grassbird, a restricted species in HK and we need better photos, but unluckily (as usual) we dipped. We seldom go hiking and today’s ‘advanture’ reminded me the days in Singapore, Java and the hot days in TPK.

Not many birds seen, and mostly were heard only, including 5 cuckoo species, like the (still) untickable Hodgson's Hawk Cuckoo. Check them here: https://ebird.org/view/checklist/S45612093

a view from Kowloon Peak, this is the highest mountain in Kowloon Peninsular, you can even see Sai Kung when the visibility is good enough like today.
